To Create a Document from a Template

Creating a document from a template lets you create documents that have predefined attributes and relationships as well a unique numbering system and class definition for a given grouping of documents.

To create a document from a template, your administrator must first create a document template.

  1. In the Add Object navigator, expand the documents tree and click the appropriate document class name.

    The Add new object shortcut dialog opens in the Content pane.

  2. Click Create Instance.

    You can now edit the new instance of this document.
