Creating Objects

You create an object in AssetWise Web by clicking the Create new eB Objects icon at the top of the Navigation pane and then selecting the type of object you want to create from the Add Object list.

Note: To create an object using a form, you must have permission to create that type of object. Permissions are assigned by the administrator in AssetWise Director. These permissions are not required to create an object using a template.

You can either create an object using a form or a template. To create an object using a form, just click the object type you want to create in the Add Object list. For example, click the Document object type if you want to create a document using a form. To create an object using a template, expand the object type (for example, Organization), select the template you want to use, then click Create Instance.

Tip: In all the object create dialogs, a field name in red accompanied by the warning triangle indicates a required field.

Note: Templates are created by the administrator in AssetWise Director.
